I have a Buffalo/Melco G4 accelerator in my 9500, it works fine in BeOS. The machine needs to boot once with the provided floppy in case of a pram reset or the OS won't boot. I don't know if it's the same for other accelerator cards.

The faq was always clear about BeOS only recognizing the onboard scsi bus. There are no extra scsi drivers on the PPC version, contrary to the x86 port.

I think I have that card, it works but won't run fullscreen apps iirc. Best way to test graphic cards support for different modes is Doom.

SheepShaver doesn't emulate the MMU.

BeOS requires a MMU to run so it won't work in SheepShaver. And that specific error message Phipli gets is what happens when you try loading BeOS inside SheepShaver on BeOS. BeOS Launcher/OS Chooser didn't get upgraded after 4.5.

Archive deleted my bespecific page and sent me a virustotal report about compsysbe6.zip claiming it has a worm inside... Obviously a mistake but heh, what can you do. I'll upload the 7zipped iso images again on separate pages later this week.
