    ADB Optical mouse by Kensington

For completeness and future reference, I reverse engineered the pinout back to the two microcontrollers on the mouseboard or the Kensington 64210. The MiniDin8 breakout cable pinout is: Pin 1 ADB Data Pin 2 ADB VCC (5V) Pin 3 USB VCC (5V) Pin 4 USB DATA- Pin 5 USB DATA+ Pin 6 GND...

ADB Busboy: Adapter for USB peripherals over ADB

After buying a Kensington 64210 and the lack of an adapter cable I can indeed confirm in having two microcontrollers in the mouse. The breakout cable is just passive. For completeness and future reference, I reverse engineered the pinout back to the two microcontrollers. The Kensington 64210...

Macintosh portable backlit m5126 floppy issue

Beside beeping the h*ll out of it between the port(s) and SWIM, it is worth trying to scope out U13C (74AC244) which do buffer these lines: - Head Select (HDSEL) - SWIM Read (SWREAD) - Write Request (W/REQ)

Photo Request : 5500, 6500 and TAM Logic Board

It would not surprise me if the TAM is relying on C-Sync only, so i would check if the C-Sync signal is there.

    Apple DOS Compatibility Card!!!

Thanks Killvore! I double the 'polarity' checked the 486 (and even changed it with a known good CPU), but still no signs of life:( Will hook some datalines to the scope to see if there is activity when i have a bit more time, but without knowledge on how this thing works it will likely not help...

    Apple DOS Compatibility Card!!!

I know this is a long time ago, but ever found the issue? I have another DOS card: no chime, no POST. - 680LC040 CPU is known to be good - 630 logicboard is known to be good (+ recapped as well) - PSU is known to be good - Cant find any damages or trace issues using my microscope Both 68K and...

Mac Plus that went on fine (only the analog board)

I do measure around 1mH on both lines on the Plus filter (LF2) and around 15mH on both lines on LF1 with my LCR meter. Let us know if you can find new filters which will fit on the board! :) I think it’s perfectly fine to deviate slightly in values if you find new suitable components. The...

Mac Plus that went on fine (only the analog board)

Hi Ironborn! Thats a toasty Plus! 😲 Yes, The BOM on my reloaded correspond to the original Apple board (rev 820-0107-D). The board is a 100% replication. If it is a 110V board some parts will differ. LF1 and LF2 are linefilters. Probably you will be able to find replacement parts. The footprint...
