What you got in there? Dyna or Aztec? Love doing power supplies, however it’s not straight forward, caps as I am learning are not always a straight swap, some may have to be a low ESR. Anyway, you have a working PSU which is a good start, generally as a reference it’s the same PSU as a PowerPC...

Ok, a small update, the supplier from eBay was excellent, the chips I ordered came within 3 days. have replaced 2 suspect chips , with 100% success, both boards now have sound from speaker and headphone jack.

Just wanted to say thanks, I have ordered x 5 from eBay , I’ll update this thread when they arrive and have changed out the chips on the boards. I see many threads across the interweb about no sound from from speakers on LC 475’s but sound only from the headphone port, Let’s see if we can...

If the Mac is booting into firmware, it’s half good! If the disk is correct it should give you a series of options, 1,2,3,4 etc if your not getting those options to install remove or patch then I’d say the disk you are using is dodgy, try another installer. With good firmware. I cannot help...
