Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
No worries! Here is the drawing, in theory the notch at the bottom should match in particular is you can check:
The positioning of the pins, that should correspond 1:1.
Is the connector on the side where pin 1 is on the top left? (the drawing is from the same side)
the slant of the top part, I...
Ooh cool! James is really nice, I wrote to him asking for the control panel for the PB adapter (I wanted to do some testing) and he very kindly sent me a copy.
It just occurred to me that two TashTalks are better than one...
And it actually works! Two separate Localtalk networks (lt0 and lt1) routed by Netatalk on the PC! The utility of all this is dubious, but exciting nevertheless! (Here the PB520 is on zone LocalTalk 2 and talks with the PB100 on...
LT2USB is finally working and I would like to resume this long overdue project. While there is quite a bit of great work in userspace solutions I think there is still place to have a tashtalk in the the kernel, in particular because this way netatalk works basically out of the box with it, and I...
Hi @slipperygrey! Many thanks for your great work on netatalk and the docker image! I tried it with with the kernel tashtalk diiver and LT2USB and it work as a charm - almost. It seems that netatalk gets stuck in ATP transactions while doing AFP - it is a problem I have patched on my manually...
First 5 prototypes are mounted! It seems to work quite well, I'm very happy :)
I want to finish my modtashtalk so it can be used with netatalk, but I'm wondering if it is worth.
Yes! My plan is to produce some and sale them. The project is also on git so people can build their own if they want...
Yes it is that! If I gave you a 1:1 drawing of the board, would you be able to see if the dimensions are right? Like connector position and cutout at the bottom.
Waiting for my new LT2USB boards to arrive, I had a bit of fun trying with the dimensions of a Portable card.
Is there anybody that has a read modem card to see if the dimensions are correct? The documentation is missing some, in particular the cutout at the bottom, and where the GND pads on the...
Haha well I can surely make a board with the form factor and connector for the portable and see! It will just take me some time as I'm travelling in the next months, but since the schematic works it is only a question of remaking the layout.
I think I will move all the projects to github too, so...
I made a google doc for easy reference since in the PB1xx app note the layout is all over the place: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1StBZ9lbX2UYzhX-RYuGAkNRwnrXkxBbJBdJ4ACP6s84/edit?usp=sharing
Then I found the same list here, page 493 (portable) and 502 (PB100)...
I did! but apparently that trace was inserted while I was preparing the board for production? I have no idea how, I can't draw it again! This time to be sure I printed out the gerber file :D
