Anyone got a Radius TPD working on their SE/30s? Is there any drivers needed (not keen to get monitor if there's software needed and it's not available).
Hi, anyone know what model no, name or version this is and what Mac it would be compatible with?
Have had no luck getting my iMac G3 running OS X 10.4 Tiger to recognise it/accept input.
Plug has 608-0012 on it, but not hits on the web for this.

Hi
Getting around to working with my two* Radius TPD Cards for the SE/30.
First startup of the SE/30 with the TPD card saw the screen flicker quite a lot before stabilising and booting fine (boots fine now - AB/PSU power issues do you think? mobo is recapped)
After this, I tried running a few...
Not as yet. My IIsi and PSU were having issues and was going to try it on them once they come back from checks/repairs (had no luck earlier on my recapped SE/30). The previous owner of the Turbo 030 board did suggest he had no luck with it on his system, so it might be bad. If I have no luck...
Anyone know what the common sizings of HDD/Power LEDs is based on? (i.e. is it the diameter or the length of the LED?)
I bought a bi-color LED over the net, but it turned out be smaller than I expected! (It had no sizing and scale is near impossible to guess from a standard picture). After a...
Thanks all.
Does anyone know what the smaller connector is called? (So I can order a connector that works with it)
The male/female bnc that goes on the back plate is standard (so easy to buy) but not sure how to describe / find the smaller one. It measures 8mm in diameter and looks like a male...
Does anyone have a spare one of the internal cables for these radius Two Page Display (TPD) cards?
Alternatively do you know what kind of connectors and cabling are being used in the adapter cable?

Seems to be a standard BNC (75 or 50 ohm?)...
While the System Requirements listing on the box says that only the "SE/30, Mac II, IIx and IIcx" are supported "ALL" with an adapter, other models debuted after these models would not have got a mention (e.g. IIcx Sep 20 1989, IIsi Oct 15 1990). ...
The Daystar Digital Turbo 040 box says it works with 'the SE/30, Macintosh II, IIx and IIcx, with appropriate adapter'. I was wondering why it does not list either the IIci (isn't that the same as the IIcx, just a slower CPU?) or the IIsi (even SE/30 radius '030' video boards work in IIsi with a...
This forum is great, but man it's hard to get pictures in here! The link was to a My Gallery Page, that I have set to 'Public' so it should just work! Will try adding the picture of the damaged area using the 'My Media' icon in the editor..
Hopefully you can see this image now..
[edit: I can...
Responding to a few threads at once:
- Yes, had put the Turbo into the Cache slot (the PDS is pass thru for say an Ethernet Card);
- Had reviewed Artmix' instructions for the Twin Spark Adapter (jumper settings appear to be right).
- The TwinSpark board is pretty straight forward, no traces...
Hi
I am trying to see if it's possible to repair broken traces on the membrane that sits inside an Apple Design Keyboard (M2980) below the rubber domes under each key.
I have 2 of these KBs - 1 almost platinum and another yellowed with age. One works perfectly, one has a number of keys not...
Hi,
Have been trying to get a Daystar Digital 33Mhz Turbo 040 CPU Accelerator I got off the net working in my Mac SE/30. The card looks in fine shape and the SE/30 it went into (1 of 2 tested in) already works fine (solid, regular chime) with it's current configuration (listed below), However...
Interestingly the 2 CF cards I managed to format but got initialisation errors in my Quadra 630 (IDE2CF adapter) both work fine (existing data is good and it boots) when put in my IIsi - which is using that Aztecmonster SCSI2CF adapter! So the CF cards are fine, just that they won't boot or work...
With Fetch 3.0 (Ftp software) and a 10/100 hub + SE/30 networking card to connect you to your home network, you can get software from a number of FTP sites that still hold huge libraries of Mac OS software without the need to use Netscape etc.
Eg ftp://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/macintosh-centro/...
Thanks. I got so many bad leads from the Google search as 'LED' and 'HDD' and Mac etc are pretty common. Seems 'bi-color' led was the trick word rather than dual LEDs.
Interesting that the connector to the motherboard gives HDD activity.
Will give it a go.
