    RAM, RAM, and RAM

I never knew there were 1gb PC100 SO-DIMMs. Largest I have seen is 512. I wonder if this is a way to get 2gb of RAM in a pismo. [/drools]

Free and new but probably useless

Sweet. I have always wanted a dumb terminal, ever since I settled on a garage server. I found this one, but not at that price. looks like you could even hook it up via ethernet. If it has a standard PS/2 port, like it appears this one has, imagine using that with an IBM model M... [/drools]

9 IIci's and an LC that were left outside in the rain.

In my case, I find a bunch of it rotting in a cabinet in my high school. I figured since it was, and since probably nobody knew about it or had seen it in over 10 years, and since they were moving out of the building at the end of the year and it would have all been destroyed, I helped myself to...

    The Common

I have one too. Anyone want to trade? Mine is an ultra rare PPC version, new in the box. Luckily it is almost gone. I only had to run AVG on it about a dozen times in the last week. :D :D :D

    Mangled Powerbook 12" 867

it's a shame that even with all the apple engineering, they could not squeeze the backlighting system for the keyboard into the design, even though it uses the exact same keyboard as it's bigger brothers. I have always thought of the 12" as the perfect design. A compact form factor, including a...

Bill Gates - The Road Ahead CD-ROM version

I think we have a copy kicking around here somewhere. I seem to remember seeing it on our book shelf during my child hood, but it must have gotten misplaced in the move. If I ever find it, I will let you all know. I think it was the CD-ROM version as well, though it also had a book.

    SE "SuperDrive"

Hey, I have one of those. It's the white one that matches the graphite machines. I don't have any LS120 disks, so I use it as a regular floppy drive. It's totally unnecessary and takes up an extra power jack, as I have a little USB powered floppy drive somewhere I should use instead.

    SE "SuperDrive"

Actually, I believe it was the other way around. Apple first coined the term FDHD, then superdrive (which they later used for DVD burners). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SuperDrive

    stuff for my PB 520!!

A guy on an old google groups list offered me the CPU card from a 550, the one with the full '040. I should have taken it. Maybe I should go back and see what happened with them.

    stuff for my PB 520!!

Nice. The Powerbook 500 series is a great bunch of notebooks. I was lucky enough to get a maxed out 540c with 36mb of RAM (the max). It gets online perfectly under System 7.6 (have not updated to 7.6.1 yet). I use a Focus brand AAUI adapter, and iCab 2.9.9. I used to run Mac OS 8.1 on it. THAT...

    SE "SuperDrive"

I had one of these, but it did not work, the same as my SE FDHD. Too bad, I really like the SE design. Trying to hunt down a SE/30 currently. Nice score.

3 things for $10 a piece. Which one should I grab?

Well, it seems Bunsen does not like me :( I did a search on these forums for both terms, but nothing came up. I ALWAYS search before I ask. Oh well... In any case, I tried booting the II from 3 separate 6.0.3 boot disks I have, and I got a smiling mac for a second, and then rejection. I...

3 things for $10 a piece. Which one should I grab?

I will have to scan the card later. A quick google search indicates the powercache was an 030. Unless there was a 040 version. Maybe it's a Turbo 040? There are some labels of numbers on the back side, I am sure those tell what it is. Wish I still had my LC III, I could use it in one of them...

Wow! o.O Expensive haul for $15!!

ten dollars for a copy of office 2k3? That's $10 more than I paid for my copy. No, I did not pirate it, my school offers a free copy of 2k3 pro.

3 things for $10 a piece. Which one should I grab?

yeah, I know what it needs to run it, but will it run? How do I tell if it has what it needs to? I don't need a 68030 upgrade, do I? if so, I might try to put system 6.0.8 on it. Imagine how fast it would run...

3 things for $10 a piece. Which one should I grab?

Alright, I just got back with this baby. She's got an 80mb 5.25" HD. I dunno what happened to the other HD that he said was in it, but he probably swapped it out. no SCSI cable, but I have plenty (he needed it for something else). It has the weird socket battery mod, I must take pics of this...

3 things for $10 a piece. Which one should I grab?

ok, this sounds really interesting: an original Macintosh II with battery holders? I thought those did not exist!! I am going to pick it up on Friday. It's almost an hour's drive to go get it, and that is on a good day! Oh well, it will be worth it.

Well, I just got this from the person: sounds like quite a deal. I may even see if I can trade them anything.

3 things for $10 a piece. Which one should I grab?

alright, I shot them an email about the Mac II, asking them what precise model it was (I hope a IIfx, but I doubt I am THAT lucky.) Hopefully they know the exact specs of it, and who knows, it might have some super ultra mega rare card in it. One can only hope. Gonna see when I can pick it up...

3 things for $10 a piece. Which one should I grab?

So, I have a choice. Sadly, I don't have enough for all 3, sadly. There is a Power Macintosh G3 233mhz desktop form factor. I don't see any other specs than CPU speed, but I have a MT already, and I had a AIO. Nice machines with interchangeable motherboards. I think it would be kind of...
