Help needed getting A2SCSI card visible on Apple IIgs

Yes, I get it, Eric from BlueSCSI dev said the same, so... let me give a better description of my symptoms with this card as is right now. The card requires the ID for the drive to be 6 (if you want more than 1 drive) or its ok with it as 0 if you want it to auto-boot. Once I have multiple...

Help needed getting A2SCSI card visible on Apple IIgs

Sure the IDs of the DEVICES on the BlueSCSI are controlled by the file name of the device images, but the SCSI controller also uses an ID AFAIK, I think normally its ID:7 and BlueSCSI its 7 AFAIK. Not sure what happens when you have two devices on the same SCSI bus using the same ID, I would...

Help needed getting A2SCSI card visible on Apple IIgs

Gulp, well, thats NOT good news. It appears both our cards are Rev 1.0 boards, and well, one has to wonder WHY he produced two more revs if this board was working fine. On the other hand, this does change things significantly for me. I now can assume the ROM on the board SHOULD be an exact clone...

Help needed getting A2SCSI card visible on Apple IIgs

Well nglayton thanks for dumping the ROM from your card, I have now also downloaded the original Apple ROM and also dumped mine and then compared all 3, and.... they appear to be identical. Help needed getting A2SCSI card visible on Apple IIgs

Well, thats the thing, this is a line from the GGLabs product page for the A2SCSI "1- Removal of the 74LS240 chip used for the card SCSI ID. The ID has been fixed to 7 in the patched SCSI ROM and patched GSOS driver." At the bottom of that page is a link to the GSOS SCSI driver, and one would...

Soft 475 Overclock can it go faster than 40MHz and in 24bit mode?

Hey, I used the Soft 475 Overclock panel on my LC475 in a recent video. And it works fine, mostly, but there are a couple of issues. Whats weird is, its author posted a message to me about it, but I cannot for the life of my now, find where he posted it, hence this message. He said that I was...

Help needed getting A2SCSI card visible on Apple IIgs

My card has the same ROM version. On the back of the card, there is a number, 610-0013-001, I assume that may be some kind of version number? Apart from that, there is a sticker with a QR code and a VERY long number. Images attached. I think it may be the same revision. Are you able to dump the ROM?

LC475 vertical lines in display issue

Yes, though I never got eyes on where the break took place, last good sight of it, in a cluster of 5 via's, top side of the board, right next to the VRAM Simm socket, there WAS continuity, then it routed along the sockets edge, and then under it, to I assume pin 9. But somehow, there is a break...

Hey, recently I completed a video where I recapped my LC475. Not shown in that video, is that I also recapped its power supply. To do this I have used this guide image, which shows the various caps and their ratings...

Apple IIe Card: Add Hard Disks, Making Floppy Disks and Much More!

Not sure what you mean by two 3.5" drives internally in an LC? How would the 2nd drive fit? In the video linked above, I am focussing on using a FloppyEmu + physical drives to make the disks. Bear in mind I am NOT an old time Apple II person. So some of the things I discovered whilst playing...
