You can install 4GB of RAM on a P4 system, but the system overhead takes up space and each GPU sucks up 128 or 256MB windows so usable memory is lower.

Soap and water gets most of the smell out of the plastics, but the tar in the fan and power supply will be harder to get rid of.

Did you use flux when reflowing the CPU's? Also was this with a heat gun or a temp controlled hot air station?

At least you didn't have a disk in there ripping the data cable.

I have seen a broken head in the past and of course plastic broken on Mac auto inject drives (which can now be replaced). Not sure how you could glue the head back on and keep it aligned so it reads disks reliably. I don't recall having many issues with PC floppy drives to be honest.
