Thanks for your answers. Although I'm good with electronics in general, I don't know if replacing the polarized film is one of my skills, I'm afraid of ruining the screen and then not having anything.
Here in Spain it's very difficult to find spare parts, and even more so for a 5300.
I've seen...
Thanks for your answers.
I imagined that the internal screen communicated in a similar way to a Macintosh via DB-15, and since there are DB-15 to VGA adapters, and that modern screen has a VGA input, I figured it might work.
So there is no solution for these old computers, use them until the...
Hello, how can i found the pinout of the connector of the build-in display of the 190?
I want to try if it is possible to adapt some modern display like this:
display 9.7"
I have an 190 with degraded display:
By chance, you may be right about the speed of memories.
I still have to try it, but today I installed a Radeon 9200 PCI that works fine, and just when I opened ATIccelerator, which had higher frequencies, the image showed the same errors as with the 7000. So I'm going to grab the original ROM...
Thanks for responding.
I have video from the startup, and I was able to apply the official ATI ROM updater and it ran, but the problem persists. I get the feeling that it is a hardware or driver failure, although tested on another G4 and it behaves the same.
Hi.
I've done the flex test, and oddly enough it made a very strange clicking noise. I've re-soldered the RAM chips and it still did, so I removed the heatsink and did a reflow, the clicking noise is no longer heard when flexing, but the symptoms persist. Could the GPU be damaged?
Does this...
Ok, tkanks, I'll try it, it's quite possible. I've already changed the electrolytic capacitors. It doesn't seem like a memory failure, but maybe a cold solder...
Hi, I recently purchased a Shappire Radeon 7000 PCI PC version. My intention was to use it on a G3 B&W. Since I don't have a PC, I first installed it in a secondary slot on the G3 and from the system profile it indicated that there was an ATI graphics card, but the screen was black.
I purchased...
Congratulations. I'm glad it works.
Since English is not my native language, I didn't understand the word "bribge" very well. Did I say something crazy? hehehehe
In my experience, SSDs usually don't like rebooting on PPC Macs, sometimes they don't want to boot, it's always better to turn off...
Cheap and works, JMicron chip, i have some of this:

I can't help you much, I can only tell you that some IDE-SATA adapters give me problems if in the same G4 I have a SATA card with a SIL3512 chip. I don't think it's your situation.
Have you done RESET PRAM?
It is a good result, similar to the Mac Mini G4 7447 @1.92GHz and with a bus of only 100MHz.
If I ever get a pair of 7448s my intention is to try a dual QS processor that I have, which has a failing L3 cache. With interposers and a 133MHz bus it can give a good result.
Did you try it?
Hello!! Today I managed to raise the Mac Mini G4 10.2 from 1.5GHz to 2GHz WITHOUT CPU SWAP.
This Mac Mini model comes with a more modern Freescale CPU. It is capable of reaching much higher speeds, but as I already explained when I performed the CPU SWAP on a Mini 1.25GHz, the impediment is the...
I will soon have a G3 B&W tower and I have an extra G3 233MHz ZIF CPU. If you want we can try updating to 7447, I have a 1.25GHz taken from a Mini. As the B&W supports bus overclocking to 133MHz, with the X8 multiplier it could reach 1067MHz, I don't know if the interposer allows PLL4 to be...
I looked at these two photos and I have two questions. Are the additional interposer capacitors optional? in the dual they are not placed.
My other question is that the 7400/7410 have PLL0-3 but the 7447 has PLL0-4, where do you adjust the additional PLL4 when you use interposer? I only see...
