I agree, checking for voltages is easy enough (at the floppy port)
if voltages are ok, try hitting the side of the AB board with a wooden stick, some broken joints are hard to see.
The fact that the floppy drive is trying but not achieving is also a sign of bad voltages.
If you are not too...
Hi, have a strange issue in one Plus.
Working ok, booting from HD or floppy but displaying the message « disk not readable - erase or eject »
The message is coming again and again, whatever the erase or eject button is selected.
The floppy is not the issue, tested and working fine in...
yes this is the one, UE8 (74LS166D)

You will need a soldering iron at least, but probably easier with hot air.
Never seen this before, the only difference between 800k and FDHD is Rom and SWIM, you can even upgrade the former one in last one.
For me more a peripheral issue, keyboard or mouse not the issue ?
The only thing i am thinking is…maybe stretching the data cable is connecting something loose. I will check for a bad solder joint (connector side) or broken cable.
The CRT is small and tight , not easy to work inside. The only thing that can go wrong is the RIFA capacitor, so i will not worry until the board is not working properly.
Looking information or schematics for a Cube PSU.
I have a shorted component but the only information that is present is the D3 label on it.
Any clue ?
Hi, not easy to help, but the very fisrt thing to have a look at is at cold solder joints or broken ones, next is to have a look at voltage outputs (at the floppy port)
You have adjustments on the side of the analog board, your image is stretched out and blurry, try to adjust it also first.
