    Macintosh 512k horizontal line issue

I agree, checking for voltages is easy enough (at the floppy port) if voltages are ok, try hitting the side of the AB board with a wooden stick, some broken joints are hard to see. The fact that the floppy drive is trying but not achieving is also a sign of bad voltages. If you are not too...

    Macintosh 512k horizontal line issue

The trouble is you don't have sound either, this is strange as both issues are not related, except if you have a wiring issue.

Mac SE/30 suddenly strange screen. [see photo] Startup Chime good.

yes this is the one, UE8 (74LS166D) https://www.demand.nu/retrotech/74ls166d.html You will need a soldering iron at least, but probably easier with hot air.

What capacity 30-pin SIMM are these?

IIRC 2Mb ram modules are not fully supported by the SE/30 (only the IIsi can use those)

Mac SE/30 suddenly strange screen. [see photo] Startup Chime good.

Your issue is related to UE8, part number is 74LS166 (don’t use the HC one) near a leaky capacitor, common issue goes bad frequently.

Mac SE FDHD freezes after 5 minutes

Never seen this before, the only difference between 800k and FDHD is Rom and SWIM, you can even upgrade the former one in last one. For me more a peripheral issue, keyboard or mouse not the issue ?

Disk III only works when the analog board is held in the air

The only thing i am thinking is…maybe stretching the data cable is connecting something loose. I will check for a bad solder joint (connector side) or broken cable.

    IIc with checkboard

The CRT is small and tight , not easy to work inside. The only thing that can go wrong is the RIFA capacitor, so i will not worry until the board is not working properly.

Looking information or schematics for a Cube PSU. I have a shorted component but the only information that is present is the D3 label on it. Any clue ?

    Plus 800k FDD magic smoke???

The floppy alone standing on top of the metal frame ? Without any protection in between ? So probably the board got shorted by the frame.

    Se/30 questions

Not sure a 100% but concerning UE8, pins 6/7 and 8 don't look soldered ok, and barely touching the pads.

Mac Plus video issue / question

Hi, not easy to help, but the very fisrt thing to have a look at is at cold solder joints or broken ones, next is to have a look at voltage outputs (at the floppy port) You have adjustments on the side of the analog board, your image is stretched out and blurry, try to adjust it also first.

    Se/30 questions

If you have got a chime, then the board has achieved the self test, can you post a picture of the UE8 and surroundings ?
