I did this conversion last year, but didn't make any adjustments for ADC (since I don't use it). I also added test details on graphics cards that work with the PSU I selected. Without the ADC accommodations some of them caused issues...

I ended up trying Lubeco Bar & Chain Oil 100 and found that it worked. I cleaned everything out of the hinges with some CRC spray and then applied the Lubeco Bar & Chain Oil with a syringe. This happens with a few of my Macs as they've aged, my iMac G4 is the worst. It squeals whenever there is any HD activity, it's like an audible HD activity monitor..
