Mystic Color Classic VGA Mod Rev D Analog Board Black Bars

Yeah, I tried, i can asjust it so its not so severe, but the black bars are even wider. I just left it like that out of frustration. in general it's acting like the horizontal deflection voltage mod portion didn't work at all. I can confirm I did test that there was a break when making the cut...

Mystic Color Classic VGA Mod Rev D Analog Board Black Bars

I can't seem to get rid of the black bars. I followed the guide from https://powercc.org/640x480/ I have a revision D analog board, but the step that is different (that is listed) is to isolate pin 20 by cutting since the jumper J28 does not exist. The resolution is properly set to 640x480 but I...

Color Classic Analog Board Repair (Damaged PCB More Than Lifted Pad)

I'm looking for some advice on if this is possible to fix, and how to go about doing so. The pad is lifted, but its a little more than just the pad. It looks like the bottom layer was torn slightly with the pad.

Does The IODD ST400 Work With Mac OS 9?

I'm considering buying an IODD ST400 virtual USB CD drive to load games on an iMac G3 / G4, but curious if anyone has tried to use one with Mac OS 9, and if it works with Mac OS 9. I'm wondering if it shows up as a USB CD drive.

    Can I replace a XC68LC040RC33B In an LC575 With A XC68040RC40 MC68040RC40 40MHz CPU?

That's good to know, thanks for the info. Does the LC variant lack the FPU? Would I theoretically get some type of performance increase by swapping to the new CPU?

    Can I replace a XC68LC040RC33B In an LC575 With A XC68040RC40 MC68040RC40 40MHz CPU?

I'm new to 68K macs, and I have an LC575 (in a color classic), and I'm just looking at what things I can do to it. I found a legit 40MHz XC68040RC40 MC68040RC40 CPU for sale, and I'm having a hard time finding info on if I can swap the CPU out for the higher clocked non LC chip, and if so, can I...

Any Reason To Keep ProDOS Partition On MicroDriveTurbo If I Only Want To Run GSOS?

I am finally setting up an Apple IIGS I have had for some years. I have a 4MB RAM expansion card installed, a FloppyEMU, a 5.25" floppy drive, a 3.5" floppy drive, and now a MicroDrive Turbo installed. I think I would like my IIGS to boot into GSOS upon startup, and then I can use my FloppyEMU...
