    I would try swapping RAM or testing the mac with one stick of RAM at a time until you find the bad stick

    I'd get your multimeter back on the floppy port and check for ripple by measuring voltage AC

    that is a Y cap, you should only replace X caps with X or X2 and Y with only Y or Y2
