Were the late analog boards in the Mac Classic noticeably different to the early models? Are late style yokes compatible with the early boards (with adapting)?
I ended up with the wrong type CRT and would love it if somebody could help me out figuring this out.
I bought a Macintosh Classic CRT, and the yoke is the wrong type (early yoke, late board).
Is the pinout the same and is it possible to just adapt the pins somehow?
Not sure if this is possible.
Thanks,

Totally. I have one DB25 BlueSCSI in a SCSI chain with a Zip 100 drive, so I know your pain. I hope to get one for my SE someday, and the Classic providing I can get it running.
$66AUD total, not including GST. I might as well print and build my own, which might be a good idea. You should sell a DIY kit (print files, instructions) too!
I hear it! Then again I'm younger than most on here. I think that's just the CRT/flyback transformer whine.
Nothing to worry about. Does your CRT have a lot of hours?
Don't worry about that, if it works it works. You'll know if it breaks. Just be gentle with it and you'll be fine.
I'm not too sure what could be the cause exactly. Can you send pics of the yoke cable connecter (solder pins and the connector itself)? Also try reflowing the motherboard power...
