NEW Injection Molded - iMac G3 Inner Bezels

Do you think they might've done it wrong? There's a reason they ended up using injection moulding.

NEW Injection Molded - iMac G3 Inner Bezels

That's totally fair - you don't want to potentially be responsible for people damaging their Macs and that is completely reasonable. If Derek wants to make his own bezel for his Mac that's fine, but he needs to understand why others won't follow 🤷

NEW Injection Molded - iMac G3 Inner Bezels

This is exactly what I was concerned about. It's just not a good idea to print such a structural part. I'm not trying to hate on you @derekdavidkent but you're causing drama that isn't needed.

NEW Injection Molded - iMac G3 Inner Bezels

Will 3D printed parts be strong enough to support the weight of a CRT? I've never 3d printed anything and I don't know much about the bezels on slot loaders, only tray loaders.

Releasing AirTalk: Wireless plug-and-play LocalTalk dongle

I don't know why I forgot about the iMac side of things. No worries :D

Releasing AirTalk: Wireless plug-and-play LocalTalk dongle

Is it possible to use AppleTalk for iMac G3 with a Mac Plus with an AirTalk? Not sure if I am mistaken

Yup - just image the drive then restore the image to the other iBook. Works great usually

SE/30 Sony CR-44 PSU unstable voltage output

6 years? Might want to check your math on that one...

Mac SE/30 restoration (and mild mod plans)

My SE has had a rough life - recapped AB and PSU, maxed 4MB, dual 800K, 40mb HDD (died recently), and wonky screen geometry. It still has some issues with it's drives and the screen wobbles occasionally, but it's still kicking. I love it's cosmetic damage - gives it charm. They really are fun...

    Spot The Bust Flyback Competition

@Nixontheknight I didn't use any on my iMac G3 - it works fine

    Colour Classic screen issue

A thump (a deep, quick "doop" noise) or something similar - I'm not sure how loud it is on a 10" CRT, it's not super loud on a 9" Mac.

    512k with 800k floppy...Arrrrrgh!!!!!

Yup... I've spent a ton on caps and I don't even have THAT many Macs. $200 for a flyback transformer? Jeez....... sold.

    512k with 800k floppy...Arrrrrgh!!!!!

Have you fully recapped it and cleaned all of the analog board? Apparently inconsistent boots can be a symptom of a weak power supply, meaning your board might need recapping or could have some corrosion in places. Worth checking!

Macintosh Classic (I/II) analogboard recreation (820-0525-A)

Yeah maybe pinwise, but I think the components on the board are also different, so I wouldn't want to try.

Macintosh Classic (I/II) analogboard recreation (820-0525-A)

https://68kmla.org/bb/index.php?threads/are-the-early-and-late-macintosh-classic-analog-boards-different.46814/ They're really not. I have a Type A CRT and a Type B, and the connectors are incompatible.

Macintosh Classic (I/II) analogboard recreation (820-0525-A)

The Classic I type A board can't be used with a Type B yoke and vice versa though. My Classic I is a Type B. Anyway, do you have Type A and B PCBs?
