    Odd issues with PDQ

Yeah, the crashing is perplexing. I may try my extra CPU card at some point to see if it's that.

Yes, it seems so. I was able to run Uningine's valley bench without issue, and it doesn't struggle to run my 165Hz monitor over Display Port.

As it seems, I can actually get Mojave up and running.

Sadly no, as in the repair attempt one of those tiny little SMDs that you can barely see left its spot, never to be seen again. And it's not the worst thing if I'm stuck on High Sierra. Mojave was only a target because night mode is just how I use MacOS nowadays. In other news, I still don't...

And then a second update: I've managed to find an R9 270X for $5 locally, and have it in the system now. This limits me to High Sierra, but that's the price I'll pay for avoiding $70 for an RX 460. I also had to manually re-pin the PCIe power cable that I purchased from OWC, as it was shorting...

Quick update, the 460 took a dump so now it's a big paperweight until I can find a replacement.

Yeah, I couldn't pass this up lol. I may, eventually, start doing more intense upgrades. But for now, Mojave is running with the latest firmware.

Well I got lucky today. Managed to snag a 2010 Mac Pro 5,1 for $20, complete with 2TB worth of 500GB drives, 48GB of RAM, and an RX460. It's currently running 10.14.6 off of a 500GB SSD in the second DVD slot, and is only lacking the latest firmware thanks to me not having a very specific card...

    Odd issues with PDQ

So I am in the process of getting the 300MHz G3 PDQ Powerbook that I got recently up to speed, and I am encountering a few strange issues. First and foremost, I am unable to get OSX 10.2 installed, as it both forgets to keep the backlight on, and it freezes moments later. It also froze moments...

Well today's find only cost labor. The recycler I volunteer at ended up just letting me take home a PDQ Powerbook G3 that I had built out of two complementary not-working models. The screen of one was destroyed, the hinge of the other wasn't and so on. Physically it could use some touch ups, but...

You really could argue that Mavericks and older is old, really. It's there that it started really started looking more like iOS, even though the iOS 4 look was present already in Lion.

As much as it's new apple, the OS is almost old enough to vote in the US.

Not a computer, but an almost complete in box copy of OSX 10.4.3. It's got everything but the apple stickers.

I tried to do so once, but I refused to boot afterwards. I'm partially fine with 7.6.1, at least

After finding an Apple 600i SCSI CD drive to replace the effectively dead drive that shipped with the computer, and a bit of time wasting, I've finally got my Clone in a basically perfect state. Sure, I'm not maxing it out with RAM that's way too damn expensive, and I'm not even running 8...

I take it that there isn't much issue with finding PCI cards that work with this? No worries. I do have SD card based solutions, I just as I said, don't have any spare OS7 or even 8 sitting around. And I'm at a loss as to why my ZULUSCSI doesn't seem to boot the garden-available 7.6.1 CD for...

I believe they do, but I'm iffy due to it using IDE for a HDD and SCSI for CDs, and me not having any spare IDE drives with OS7 on them.

Well, I finally got myself a literally beige whale. Only downside is that it seems to not want to boot off of the CD Drive, or my ZULUSCSI in order to install OS7. I do know it works, though, as it booted to the now-wiped HDD.

Pre made images for bluescsi with games?

If you're using hda files, and have access to something that can run 10.4 or lower, you can just mount the hda after renaming it to dmg. You might also want to use some sort of emulation to get things installed to your images.

It should work, maybe there's just something missing from the installation?
