Are all Macintosh models without a name badge prototypes?

Great! Thanks for that link. Wow, that is an old thread. :)

Are all Macintosh models without a name badge prototypes?

Would love to see some good, detailed photos of it, as there don’t appear to be any out there. The Mac Plus brightness knob is really interesting. Didn’t know about that. I also didn’t realize it’s beige and not platinum! That is totally awesome.   Always loved those smooth SE prototypes!

    Resurrecting a few 128k/512k boards

That’s crazy that the pin-out is different on them. I figured that was the same on all 64k RAM chips. Hopefully someone can tell you why it isn’t working, or where there’s a good source for the proper RAM chips. I don’t know, unfortunately.

So the LC you bought is a prototype? Could we see some more pics?

    Silly Software search story

Sounds like something I’d do! I always have a healthy selection of productivity apps on my vintage Macs and PCs. Love playing with that stuff. And after all, it’s programs like that which made these machines successful. Playing with the old word processors has actually improved my typing a lot...

    Not Mac but pretty cool

Wow, that is a beast of a soldering station! Never knew such a thing existed. I can think of several instances where having two irons would be very handy. $20 was a steal. I may have to try and find me one of those...

    New SE and Miniscribe deep-dive

That’s odd. Not sure why it doesn’t work. At least you found another copy!

    New SE and Miniscribe deep-dive

Did you unzip it? The program is zipped.

    New SE and Miniscribe deep-dive

Hmm, that’s interesting. Not really sure what would be causing that, unfortunately.

    mac iici unfixable?

Most non-tech-savvy people would never even think about it, therefore it got left in the computers most of the time when they went to storage.

    SCSI2SSD for Macintosh Portable?

That’s super cool! Did not know that.

Can you tell just by the serial number if an Apple Lisa mouse was made for the Lisa 1?

I’m fairly certain earlier Lisa 2s came with the original mouse also.

    Resurrecting a few 128k/512k boards

This is cool! Will be following this thread. :)   That test rig rig is awesome. I think I remember seeing that in an older thread of yours.

    Macintosh 512K revival

I bet a single-floppy 128K can be quite painful! I would like to play with one just to see what it’s like though.

    Macintosh 512K revival

Got the proper mouse for it! It’s the correct one with the squared connector end. The newer ones work, but having this one makes me feel better! :)   I’m amazed how usable this machine really is. I wasn’t sure if a 512 would be really limited to use or not, and it most certainly isn’t...

MacEffects Clear Case REVIEW, for SE & SE/30

Great video! About the glue, pretty sure it’s regular old hot glue. Nothing special.

    Corroded Chip

That’s really awesome! So cool to see 30+ year-old computers still in-service!    SCSI2SDs are absolutely perfect for applications like this where the machine is relied upon. I’m usually a stickler for mechanical drives, but maximum reliability is absolutely crucial in situations like this.
