Unless you did something extra special, Classic Mac OS doesn't support anything other than USB 1.1. It will support USB 2.0 peripherals (as you've seen), but it will always run them at USB 1.1 speeds, even on hardware that otherwise supports higher 2.0 speeds. c

In my experience, I think some of the bits of that feature might exist in the tray loader's firmware in some form, but it's mostly unimplemented, including the OPT/ALT invocation which, as you found, does nothing. Fun fact: an apparently undocumented, but mostly functional (prototype?) version...

Why are you using BOOTP? Isn't DHCP an option, or does Server 1.x predate that particular feature? Or do you have a specific need for it? You seem to know much more about networking than I do, so I'm sure you have your reasons.... c
