I read somewhere the Rage128 is better than Twinturbo... I have the two card and I have tested it with my 7600/sonnetG3 (os9) and Macbench5: The TwinTurbo in some test is 10 or plus faster than Rage128!!!! Where is the truth?

I surrender... sure the problem is vram! I removed all four chips from the motherboard (and simms) easily with my hot air gun (painter remover modified  ;) ) but without vram onboard the screen remain black! I tried for one entire day to solder other ram chip... with no luck! Defect change...

Incredible and strange... I solved the problem! I changed the nubus slot at the card! From the lower to the upper... Now supervideo work and my lcd don't lose the sync!  :) For the graphics performance I run Macbench 3.0 and the graphics score is 62% of Powermac 6100! Slow? I run the test at...

When work (first boot, or after pram reset) my lcd info page show me 1024x768 75.2hz and work very good. Reboot..... out of sync!

I have tried three different lcd... Not exist macos program to bypass monitor auto detect and change refresh in manually?

 Native resolution of lcd is 1024x768, but if I set (with dipswitches in converter) 640x480 the problem is the same... I think is a refresh problem, macos not allow me to change resolution or refresh and at reboot probably use 100hz refresh! The pram is ok (3,6v)

The card now is my!  :) But I have small problem... I have a db15>svga converter and i have the dipswitch at 1024x768, at first boot all ok, if i reboot or shutdown the lcd go out of sync! I need to boot with reset pram for resolve the problem. Why????

I have replaced the caps but the problem remain the same... Now I have a nubus card and with this the video output is perfect! I need to replace the onboard vram? Other problem is the power switch, why my mac not poweroff when i push the back button? It only restart... I only test it without...

I wanted to do it (650 logic board), but then I thought that I want to original.

The problem is not only the video output, power switch random not work and is impossible to power off (I disconnect the power cord). Change caps is a easy operation end low cost, if not work I change the logic board or buy nubus card

Is correct to use caps with more voltage? (6,3v>16v) I already I have them... and new 6,3v 47uf case "D" is hard to find

I wanna try to change black caps (see picture above), I have some yellow caps with 47uf 16v, they are fine? (the original is 47uf 6,3v)
