Hi Anyone have a solution for the pci retain clips of PMac 8500/9500? I have a 9500.... I heve brocken all pci clips (plastic is very brittle) and I can't secure the pci boards! Exist a homemade solution for secure the boards without clips?

I have recapped and fix the battery, but if I power-up the mac the video is corrupted with vertical stripes... It seems a vram problem but I have changed three video board with the same (slightly different) issue. The Ram is ok, I have tried some working modules. No death chime and fast...

Too many possibilities... They may be of any year, and any type of software. And the dongle protected software is not easy to find :(

I have three dongles (Rainbow sentinel EVE, EVE2, and one totally unknown) without application label... how I can find the application of the dongle? Exist a software utility for macos for dump a adb dongle? I have another dongle (EVE3) but have a label: "Quark" :)

My searches have failed, not because it does not exist ... but because it is too old software, if anyone in the past have created a virtual dongle in the macos years, now is very hard to find... It's also hard to find the demo version  :(

Not software dongle emulators available? On later (osx) version is available. Ok, is piracy, but this is abandonware...

I guess we want avid media composer for Mac Os 8/9... is very hard to find!

The first (three) boards is Truevision, the second (two) boards is Janus and some chips is marked "AVID". I don't know the exact model...

Someone have the drivers for Truevision Targa 2000 for PowerMac? I don't find it....

I suspect the problem is the cpu soldering points... If I touch the heatsink my mac stop to play a chime! But with my solder is very hard work...

Yes, I have removed the heatsink only for take the pictures  ;) The capacitor is the same of some others on the board, but smd capacitors not have the spec write on them... The best is have a Apple schematics, but is impossible to find. However I think the capacitor is not essential

I recently found this card for my Quadra 950 (code 820-0547-A) but when I have tested it... not work!  :(   I have tested the card with Quadra 950 and Quadra 650... without success. If I use 68k no problem, if I select PPC on control panel, on reboot I have the PPC chime and the death chime...
