I'm honestly in love with that network server. Been reading about them lately and although setting up a network server for vintage macs nowadays is extremely easy with a ton more space and speed that can ever be offered by that one, it's still a sight to see! And you SE's are impeccable!

If you have a pc connected via ethernet, download macippi vm from macip.net and hookup your ethernet adapter into a switch/router with the computer running the vm.    it should be pretty straight forward, enable apple share in chooser and connect to macip and thats it.   

I actually have a raspberry pi image sans VM running it from macip.net. The VM should work but only if the computer running the VM is plugged on ethernet, not wifi.
