My 150, despite a (admittedly poorly installed) 3D printed hinge fix, has completely split plastic around both hinges. Mind you, that’s the entire housing split, not just the standoffs. Had to blob epoxy on like crazy to keep it was falling to bits. I need a plastics donor badly.
Note that the...
Just to warn you - the 150 has really bad plastics. The other 100 series models get a bad rap, but they're actually not brittle - the plastics shrink a bit which causes the screwposts to crumble as the plastic can't shrink around the metal screw threads. Because of this, it's easy to restore one...
It's probably the Samsung LCD that you can also find on these sometimes. Model number should be LT121S4-105 or similar. No caps on that one.

It's likely going to either be remaining goo, or a bad connection caused by corrosion inside those ribbons. Do you see any black spots inside the ribbons?
Don't ultrasonic the cables. Too high risk, I'd worry it would break the bonds on the zebra strips.
I haven't put a developer note archive up yet but that's a good idea. I'm in the midst of a big new project on the Laptop Portal at the moment (php + sql database backend), but after that's done I'll probably look to do that next.
You mean the capacitors? There’s only one on the 5300ce panel and it doesn’t typically cause any trouble.

First step is to try reseating everything. Make sure the LCD cable is seated well on both sides (and isn't damaged). If the interconnect cable is damaged, you won't be able to tell visually. Only way to know would be to swap in a spare board or replace the cable yourself. If it chimes then...
