Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
Nice score! I've had pretty good luck with this stuff for odor removal, although I admit I've never tried it on an old Mac: https://www.amazon.com/Mary-Ellen-Products-Atmosklear-30016/dp/B008OID5WA
I have a Dazzle Hollywood DV Bridge that I believe will do this. The question is whether I can find the power brick...and what it would cost to ship to the UK. There seem to be some others for sale out there that are reasonably affordable, though.
Oops, you're right. It's the R, not the -13, that differentiates the packages. Sorry for the confusion, wish I could go back and edit.
My AP7361C-33ER-13 will be here on Friday and I'll probably pop it onto the board this weekend.
Nice! Instead of FTP, I recommend trying Phytocodex: https://68kmla.org/bb/index.php?threads/phytocodex-access-the-macintosh-garden-from-gopherspace.49297/
It's a nicer interface, don't really even need the website in most cases.
Weird. If this is the card, that DEC controller chip is the same one Apple used on its CS II Ethernet cards, and was also used on many other third-party cards around that time. Should be about as well-supported as a Mac ethernet card gets. Maybe there's something weird about Kingston's...
Glad to help. I actually hadn't seen your older post. I, too sent a AP7361C-33ER to LDO heaven because I lazily didn't compare the datasheets before buying. BMOW technically didn't specify the wrong part, he just omitted the important -13 suffix that specifies the one with the correct pinout.
I have the same one, seems to work pretty well. I've never actually done a BGA with it either, but I use it when I'm using hot air to remove a large SMT part on any board I care about and don't want to warp.
Note for anyone planning to do this regulator swap--you want the SOT-223R package, AP7361C-33ER-13. The regular SOT-223 version pin configuration does not match the ST LD1117.
I know. I'm doing it because if someone else has the same problem (like I did) and comes across this thread in a search (like I did) they'll have a link to a possible solution instead of a dead end.
I had the same problem (bright horizontal line) and resolved it by replacing the PALs. I posted more information here: https://68kmla.org/bb/index.php?threads/se-30-horizontal-strip-not-analog-board-related.39754/post-558154

I had a similar problem and found several threads describing the same thing, a bright horizontal line, with no resolution. I am not sure whether @solidpro ever got their SE/30 fixed, but I figured mine out, so I thought I would document it here so others can hopefully find it in the future.
It...
I think Vendor ID 1033 hints that there's an NEC chip under that sticker. 12EE seems to be unique to Orange Micro. I don't think they made any of their own chips though.
