    Macintosh Portable power regulation

No it isnt. I was replying to your post.  Your Q16 heatsink is blackened from tarnish/corrosion. Not heat.  That is not to say that the transistor got hot over the years, but the blackening of the heatsink is due to tarnishing.

Tool to sync a folder between retro and modern computer, using serial/WIFI modem connection?

Well I wasnt clear on what your expectations are.  Its just what I use to synchronize folders on my host machines. For example, if I have an Appleshare volume between a Mac and a Pi or something, I can run FreeFileSync/RealTime sync to sync that share to some other volume, like a mirror. ...

I never encountered this issue so its going to take some extensive electronics knowledge and troubleshooting skills to figure it out.  You make sure you ordered the correct replacement diodes?

Doesnt look fried to me. Just blackening on the heatsink plating from corrosion. Thats it.

    LC575 Analog Board Troubleshooting

Well we all started somewhere. For me personally, I am kind of "full stack" on electronics, I know the analog side as well as the digital side. but I do not specialize in either, just more generalized.  All I can say is just be careful is about the best advice I can give you. always double...

    M1212 CRT Troubleshoot

OT: Couldn't help but notice "Tha Crossroads" on the desktop. Man... one of my favorite songs, and back when hip-hop was good.  Anyways... I cant really see any faults with the pictures. Maybe the black level is too high, so knock the brightness down some but otherwise thats it.  If anything...

    LC575 Analog Board Troubleshooting

You likely shorted the horizontal output transistor. Check it in diode check on your DMM to see if you have shorts across all 3 pins. If so, replace it.

New CPU Accelerator options for 68K Macs?

Yes. the E clock is required. the E/VMA/VPA is required on Macs, because of the VIAs. So this logic has to be implemented in the accelerator, Something I was trying to research back in 2014 when I was motivated to do such project for the macintosh portable.  The portable is kinda weird. They...

if the triac is bad, then certainly the parts that drive the triac are also bad, such as the opto-isolator. you should chainge the pair.

Reverse Engineering the Macintosh SE PCB & Custom Chips for 1:1 reproduction

The problem is where they positioned the ROM on the SE. everything from the beginning of address space up to the ROM is all open territory for RAM. and it stops at ROM.  Sure theres a gap of space after the ROM, but ive read online that the OS doesnt like anything past the ROM as being RAM, it...

FLuxEngine - read & write Mac 800k disks with a normal PC floppy drive
