Nice find! It'll boot from a disk image file on the Macintosh SCSI bus, so as long as you have free space you should be fine. I imagine you could add an IDE ISA card and use a physical drive, but I haven't tried or heard of this yet.

Oops, I misremembered. They’re just incompatible with PowerPC upgrade cards. Low End Mac does assert the PowerPC machines being slower with the dual DSP cards enabled, however. The quads may be a different story, and LEM could be inaccurate on this.

Pretty sure the DSP extension only runs in 68k, same with the Thunder IV GX cards. It won't cause a problem to still be populated on the Thunder/24, just remains inactive.
