    NuBus LocalTalk cards?

The technical data sheet lists "• Interface to LocalTalk and other networks" under Applications, so it should be possible? https://archive.org/details/TNM_Hurdler_II_Add-On_Boards_Sheets_Creative_Solutions

Tashtari's ADB Tools (also a plea for rare devices!)

Echoing @Phipli, creating a way to image these would be nice if one doesn't already exist. Whatever software/hardware replacement can be made will probably still need program-specific (serial specific?) ROMs. Here are two versions I have and would be happy to poke at: The casing on both units...

    SuperMac Thunder/24 ROM needed

Thanks for these! I'm adding v1.7.0 as well. https://www.ebay.com/itm/402622953769 (UV Eraser) https://www.ebay.com/itm/193058274599 (5 x 27c512) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082CKV47V (TL866II Plus, but this link now unavailable) @omidimo any luck with the v3.1 ROM?

Reasons why the Apple 8.24 GC NUBUS video card is so desirable

This is in the ReadMe for Macintosh Drag and Drop v1.1: This is probably the source of visual artifacts from 7.1.1 (P) forward. Any use trying to strip it from later versions?

    NuBus LocalTalk cards?

Here are the ROMs from the CSI Hurdler Quad Serial, Hustler Dual Serial, Centronics Parellel, and another quad serial card called the VersaLink from Advanced Logic Integrations. dumped via TL866II plus FWIW

Might have killed my TAM. Sad face.

Is there a chance your splice from ODD power is shorting when the case is pressed shut? A chance your hard drive IDE cable is offset by one pin at the hard drive? A chance one of the motherboard's edge connector pins is bent and making no contact/extra contact? What happens when you attempt...

    Fastest Nubus Video Card Redux

The ones I have en route are UV eraseable; the factory v1.7.0 ROM is on a TMS27C512-15, and I'd also be interested in the v3.1 ROM if anyone has it. FWIW the ROM dumps and photos of all the cards I'm testing are organized in here: http://www.jeremywork.com/rd.html

    Fastest Nubus Video Card Redux

This is interesting. In the tests above, both the Horizon 24 and the Accelerator Board II had all 4MB of their DRAM set to GWorld use. I faintly remember running a single pass with all 4MB set to RAM disk instead but not recording the entry because none of the results were out of margin, but...

    Fastest Nubus Video Card Redux

"It'd only take a few minutes if I can find the cards and the systems" -clueless, 2018 It's been a process, but absolutely worthwhile to me to know the numbers are clean and can at very least be compared against each other. I'll certainly run an OS comparison with some of the cards, all if...

    Fastest Nubus Video Card Redux

I'm happy to have made a dent! A few days in I began to realize why this hasn't been done very comprehensively. The more time I spent, the more questions I seemed to have, though with precise control and enough repetition I began to understand the layout of the field. I think if we built a more...

Reasons why the Apple 8.24 GC NUBUS video card is so desirable

I happened across one for not too much before I had my IIfx, so for the last few years it's the only card I've run. I just completed a plethora of IIfx/Nubus video benchmarks in another thread, and while the GC stomps the yard in quite a lot of the tests, it also manages to impact the otherwise...

    Fastest Nubus Video Card Redux

I had this question when I was getting started, and it's come up fairly often since. In the case of Quadras it's generally good advice that onboard video will offer a better experience than any Nubus card can, excepting resolution/color depth or featureset. For this reason I started testing with...

64-Pin 4MB SIMMs for Apple Display Card 8*24 GC

Mine act the same way. SIMMs in the photo above work perfectly, and ones from the IIfx mainboard act electrically incompatible. Some prevent power on completely and others let power blip on momentarily, or cause a death chime.

    My 3lectr1cal Conquests!

I saw this pretty frequently in the 15" Pro models of the one-off 2008 generation, but not nearly as often in 13s. The load-bearing internal clamshell frame which connects to the hinge would pry away from the glued-on aluminum rear shell, allowing it to pry itself sideways and eventually snap...

64-Pin 4MB SIMMs for Apple Display Card 8*24 GC

I'm not sure of the basis for the "same as used by the IIfx" anecdote because my 8•24 GC refuses all of the RAM my IIfx happily boots with. I either get no chime/no image, death chime, or outright refusal to power on as if shorted. I eventually got lucky enough on eBay based simply on visual...

    x86 card revival thread

Orange Micro had some odd execution choices on earlier cards too. The ISA stabilizer bracket on the 386 card is a few milimeters short, so tightening the screws all the way will bend the board significantly (and the metal cuts are sharp enough scrape through the board's solder mask.) To add to...

    x86 card revival thread

I pulled mine out to compare. The cap is in a precarious position due to the sliding lock on the socket, so it needs to be tilted inward to avoid being broken off when the CPU is released. Maybe that was the cause?

Reply "Dos On Mac" PDS card drivers

It seems for whatever reason the link for 'DOM109.hqx' was changed to point to the main tech support page (the one it's already on) prior to creating the archive, but the prior snapshot does have a real link and file. Hope that helps! Also, assuming yours is one of these...

    x86 card revival thread

On close inspection I noticed the ISA card bracket on the Orange386 had begun to erode the surface coating and exposed some copper on one of the traces. I added some washers in between the PCB and the bracket on reinstallation to avoid further contact. (sadly, this was not the cause of the CMOS...

All about Apple PC 5.25" Drive (A9M0110)

Sorry I forgot to respond to this. My card is the earlier Orange386 which only has the massive DB-78 connector. The drive is attached through the accessory kit breakout cable.
