Archive A/UX hard drive from a IIfx

Fair point @Phipli . There's nothing on the Mac volume but I have no idea how to check the A/UX volume without a valid password. The Guest access still requires a password.

Rescued what I thought was a Mac II

Right on! I like to keep my peripherals period-correct to the system. I will say all those Brits who keep showing off their Kensington Turbo Mice will eventually make me get one for the IIfx!

Rescued what I thought was a Mac II

Well IIfx Fans, this is a monumental update. Quick backstory. My “little brother” bought a house with some old, small office PBX gear I put up for grabs on the Trading Post which @ilitch64 wanted. This evolved into me going to a VCF workshop on 3/24 in Wall, NJ to deliver the PBX gear at which...

Just to make it official @luRaichu fair question, I will more fully explain in write-up but short answer is that's Badtz-Maru and he helps with bringing troublesome machines up. 20+ year old superstition.

I am overjoyed to report another IIfx has been brought back to life! While many played their part in making this happen I must call out @ilitch64 for his amazing repair work, @joshc for his bottomless IIfx knowledge, and @Phipli for his ever-present encouragement to do more and go further! :)

So as I take a break here's the background. I found a couple cassettes of my college radio shows from 1995 and 1996. Bought the JVC tape deck off eBay and digitizing to share w college friends. Best part...the one show is fittingly called "A Classic Show" - was my Classic Rock Tuesday 4-6pm...

The heat sinks were as-found, not my adds. Yesterday went to a VCF Workshop and traded @ilitch64 some PBX gear in exchange for his soldering and board repair expertise! Learned a lot too :) And bonus met @Dude.JediKnight
