Fair enough, and I grant that I don’t really make images with modern Macs (they lack a drive, anyway), and mostly use 10.4-10.6 for imaging, so it makes sense why my images work fine for me. Thank you for the in-depth answer.
As a complete refutation (not that I’m right or wrong), but every single CD I’ve ever made that starts a Mac was always burned at whatever the maximum possible speed of the drive I had was. Never had a problem as long as it is a good .cdr of the entire disc, not just the data volume.
...which is why I say it is ok to use machines with batteries in them. Some think these things will blow up "any minute", but I am sure that changing them within 10 years or something would be fine.
Just as described in the title. I am looking to see if there are any Mac PCI cards that will work with OS X ~10.6 with analog RGB and/or S-video input jacks that can capture/record video to a 2008 Mac Pro. Do any such cards exist?
