That reminds me - have you tightened the alternator or fan belt on the fiat? Shame I didn't hear it when you arrived, I had tools in the boot. Although on some other fiats the belts are a nightmare to get to if I remember correctly.

@Phipli yeah I did.. involved some gymnastics and scraped knuckles

Yeah, you can do the original MX5 without removing any parts, but you come out of it with your arms looking like you had a fight with a blackthorn hedge and lost.
