Within those 30 secs, the acidic part of the glue took off the yellowed top layer. Not sure if I've seen this mentioned before. Note I have had IPA brighten plastics as well, but that's after scrubbing for like 5-10 minutes and only sometimes. I actually tried scrubbing with IPA to the right of the 'J' but as you can see, nothing compared to the superglue.

Do you have a method for buffing out those scuffs

I usually leave the little marks alone, treat it like patina. I just don't like orange level yellowing and cracks (for structural considerations) and big gashes, missing chunks, etc. The annoying ones are where large educational institutions carved their name/equipment # into the case, super ugly and need to get rid of those.
