Booster SCSI card ?

Can you boot the rocket from SCSI?

Very, very nice. Gotta love that internal SCSI II connector. ;)

edit: if external connector is unimplemented can you use a blank metal cover plate behind it and the Rocket. No printed bracket required?

I haven't tried booting from scsi, once I have a assembled card again I'll give it a go :)
And yep, with the DB25 unpopulated it will fit without the special cutout bracket

Didn't notice you show DB-25 on that card? Sub-standard Mac connectors/cables for SCSI aren't even close to connectors/cables rated for Fast/Narrow as on the Radius Daughtercard. Alternating ground, 50 pin IDC ribbon cables for internal use are standard for Fast/Narrow.

Using the likes of an external BlueSCSI mounted directly on a DB-25 connector might work well enough despite the lack of alternating ground lines over that short a run? Dunno, just tossing a couple of cents onto the waters of development.

Yeah that's true but for practical use pretty much everyone I asked about it agreed that DB25 was more useful

Indeed, but how much did they know about Fast/Narrow signal integrity requirements? Might want to include a caveat precluding use of or maximum cable length specification recommendation for the adventurous? DB25/Centronics50 cables in the field are not likely to be reliable I'd think? But as you know, I don't know all that much either! :p
