What is the second computer?

Is there any way to use the video out from the emac's video out as extended desktop instead of mirroring? I assume it only supports mirroring, but suspect it is just a software block by apple?

I suspect I was running a 1.25GHz Mac Mini at that time :) with a 19" CRT and a Lacie stacked hard disk under the Mini.
