    Even further back in ' the cave ' was this 512k with no rear case placard ( product description ) Also bottom of case has a rectangular depression molded into the case. Pretty 'cherry' looking diskette entry and no signs of case forced entry. Haven't peeked inside yet. Any ideas about this...

     Thanks. I'm delighted. This pup has been stored in ' the cave ' since the late 90's, and haven't looked at carefully since then. Unfortunately, the previous owner engraved [discretely] both the hard case and KB with an identifier.  Also unfortunately, just sold this matched set "box" .  All...

    Discovered a Mac carrying case in the back of the cave and inside found this interesting package.  A 128k badged 'thin' Mac with a french KB, a square plug mouse, and apple logo power cord. The diskette drive needed a little lube. It's working well now. Pretty sure the case hadn't been opened...

    Re: 512k interim upgrade. Unity wrote: "Which means the board may or may not be original to that exact machine at all. So while it was once a 128k board, its not a 512k. But some upgraders had several on hand ready to swap in." Does look like an early mom n  pop interim solution.

    On Mac serial # F4111TZM0001, this odd chip sits adjacent to the CPU. Any clue what it is?
