    The easiest solution to your Genesis MP problem is, of course, to install BeOS R5. Remember, that machine is basically just a quad-CPU 9500. I wouldn't install anything newer than 8.1 on it, maybe 8.6. It's been decades since I had my hands on one of these, but I'd also see how things behave...
