Got a Quadra 700 not so long ago for 100€. You need luck, but most importantly, you need to actively look all the time for hardware.

If these are generic and widely available, post a picture. I seem to have little luck with the adapters i got so far. Bought a stack of 32GB Sandisk SATA SSDs a few years back and i would love to see them used in some IDE machines.
