Here is a Hail Mary: in the past, many people reported the similar issues your are seeing and it was caused by a faulty power button. I believe there is a way to power it on with the power button disconnected. Have you tried that?

As @Byrd stated, there are some fixes posted on Cubeowner. My button was a little sensitive, so I put Kapton tape around the circumference around the button help with that.

May I ask, why are you downgrading? Are you looking for a quieter machine?
