Years ago I got a Orginal Newton Messagepad without any type of battery or holder, which is a problem since it's a propritary connection.
I know they had a battery holder that held about 4 AAA batteries iirc, however, i've not been able to locate just that part itself, or any...

I know this is so late, but do you think you could get a lithium ion battery w the specs needed and put it in the portable? It would be better in terms of charging since lithium ions don't completely die when the capacity is depleted.
Well i think so too, but i was told at first that it was because I hadn't installed TCP/IP to my Mac, but then it started acting weird. Idk, I haven't touched it in a while.
What do you mean by extension issue exactly? you mean like a software extension or like the adb power extension thing...
i got one of those too! Although, I've never been able to get it working, and now I think something is wrong with it 😔 its such a shame too bc there's not a lot of options like that for getting a vintage mac online w ethernet. At least that I can see.
