Yeah, totally fair! ndif2raw works fine, to be honest.
The biggest thing for me would be the inability to open locked files, to be honest. Once I have a "good" image, I lock it immediately to make sure nothing touches it by accident.
Been giving this a spin! It is handy to be able to just peer into HFS volumes.
Just a couple of notes:
Would be nice if it was possible to open locked images. I'm in the habit of making disk images I don't want any utility to modify (and/or that I want emulators to mount as read-only) "Locked"...
