2 things I would mention: my 9600 always needed a "running start" (power on, chime, power off, then on again quickly) to boot properly. Additionally, I've found that because the mobo (and therefore the CPU card) are mounted in a vertical orientation, the CPU slot and/or card has started sagging...

FTP is the way to go. Even with a 10/100 card, much faster than serial or USB 1.1. As far as your thumb drive, you should be able to get away with FAT32 formatting for both to understand.

And here I thought one of our clients using one that required Win XP was bad. (not sure of the framework or architecture it used)

Not gonna lie, I never even considered there was a Be driver for the Voodoo. That said: BeOS r4.5.2 -3Dfx Voodoo3 3000 PCI animated Be logo Doom fullscreen flawless Doom pixel doubled at ~25-30 FPS all resolutions at all colors (except 15-bit)

I only have R4.5 installed on mine but I'll still give it a try. Might not be until later tonight though.

I can confirm a self-flashed 3Dfx Voodoo 3 3000 will work, albeit only in minimal resolution and color with no option to change either. I recall Doom working fine though. I'll have to get you specifics later.

Tried finding it on mine. The spot on the PCB you pictured is very different from my card.
