    Interware Booster 30-SE50F Info Dump

Good to know - now the other question I'd have is if 60mhz tripled from 20mhz performs better than 50mhz doubled from 25mhz for graphically intensive applications (think Marathon), where (AFAIK) you get a benefit from the faster vampire video. That, or using an FPGA to build out a 68030 that can...

    Interware Booster 30-SE50F Info Dump

Would the IIsi version be stable with a bus clock of 25mhz, or is that pushing the 68030 too far?

    Bolo on Macintosh SE

Yeah, the ram should all be identical.

    Bolo on Macintosh SE

I just tried  the same thing on MultiFinder, and it closes with error 2.

    Bolo on Macintosh SE

No ID - just 'Sorry, a system error occurred: address error'. This happens at the beginning of the tutorial, and when I attempt to set up 'standard autopilot' while playing on practice mode. I'm running with the plain-old Finder, not MultiFinder.

    Bolo on Macintosh SE

I've been trying to play Bolo on my Mac SE (4MB) with System 6.0.8, and when I get to the actual game screen it bombs out with an address error. It plays fine on Mini vMac (booting from the first install disk for 6.08). What should I investigate to figure out this issue?

uncompress software for Color Classic? (7.6.1)

If you have a floppy drive, try extracting Stuffit in an emulator on to a 1.4mb disk image, and writing that image to an actual floppy - it should be usable in the Mac. Not copying the file in windows, but a direct disk image write or dd.

    Macintosh SE SCSI issues

I assume the diode at CR1 is the term. power diode. It looks fine to me, but here's a photo of the board.

    Macintosh SE SCSI issues

It's not an error with the disk - having the drive connected with any termination enabled (or any termination on the bus without a drive) means that the Mac will fail to boot.

    Macintosh SE SCSI issues

rsolberg - I do have a pass-through terminator that should function similarly to an internal terminator. And yes, I have booted the LC III from a Zip disk with this specific drive. It's probably hardware, I just need to figure out if it can be fixed or if I'm better off getting another board...

    Macintosh SE SCSI issues

I can confirm that there is not an internal drive in the SE - I've opened it up a few times. The Zip disk itself works fine the way I've formatted it on the LC III. This issue happens when ANY SCSI device is plugged in (as long as there's some sort of termination installed.) Is there anything I...

    Macintosh SE SCSI issues

LC III is running 7.5.5 - using LIDO. I've used the Iomega drivers before and they did work, but i've switched over to LIDO. SE is running 6.0.8, and I've been using the LIDO driver rather than the IOMEGA driver - the drive has worked fine with both drives. The issue occurs before the OS boot...

    Macintosh SE SCSI issues

Still no luck. Just tried it with a few different termination settings, but still stuck waiting for a disk (the floppy doesn't show up, it's waiting right before that.) I'd like to get this board working with SCSI, but any tips would be well appreciated.

    Macintosh SE SCSI issues

I've just tried to boot it with no termination - doesn't detect the SCSI device, and when I use a boot floppy, it boots but stays waiting forever on the Finder. When I enable termination on the ZIP drive, same as ever - stuck looking for a drive.

    Macintosh SE SCSI issues

I've been trying for a few weeks to get SCSI devices working on my Mac SE. I've got 2 800k drives, so no internal SCSI disk is installed. I've been trying to use a ZIP100 drive as a boot disk - but no matter what devices I have connected to the SCSI port, it fails to boot. I've got an active...
