I used version 3.0.1.
I just installed OS7.1 on the hard disk from a set of 10 floppies. Still can't boot. How do I tell if the system folder is "blessed"?

Appreciate the confusion. I don't mean mounting on the vintage mac. I mean mounting an image on a modern mac. I can read and write from and to using Floppy Emu through to the disk images on the sd card, but I am looking for an easy way to move vintage files to and from those disk images (on the...
Yeah, but I can both read and write once I've booted from a floppy. It's not a hardware/formatting issue. I am pretty sure I need a special driver to boot of the drive as it's a nonstandard 80MB IBM disk and not a 20MB miniscribe as I gather was shipped in the original 20SC. How do you guys...
Yeah, used both Lido 7 and the patched HDSC Setup (for non-Apple disks)... it still won't boot. I can read and write to and from fine after booting from a floppy.
Hi quorten, thanks for your reply. Couldn't get Executor to run, looks like an experimental/unsupported port from 10 years ago. I have been trying to mount those old disk images using standard tools (hdiutil, diskutil) - if it is an HFS volume inside, they can be mounted and read (not written)...
Hi cheesestraws, thanks for the answer. Spent a few hours now trying to get Basilisk to run without luck on my Mjoave machine. Without giving up on that just yet does anyone else use a simple tool to read/write *files* within a .dsk image (just as you would simply mount .img files)?
Hi forum, does anyone know how I might create, read, and write raw floppy .dsk files (as used by Floppy Emy) on a modern Mac? Alternatively, how do you transfer files from a modern mac to a vintage mac through an sd card with raw disk images?
Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I am trying to make an SC20 bootable connected to a Plus. It's had its old drive replaced by an 80Mb IBM drive at some point. I can read and write from and to the drive, but I can't boot from it. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

Hey forum, I've installed system 6 from the original disks onto a genuine SC20, everything works except I can't seem to boot from it. What's the trick? SCSI ID is 3.
Thanks!
