But after assembling the laptop, I thought to try hows mouse ball tracking and did not track correctly, It was jumping and i knew it needs cleaning. This is what I found, beside broken standoff
After cleaning them now it tracks correctly
Well that TVS diode was really small, but I managed to solder it. Laptop now chimes and boots. However, top one of those IRFR 9020 showing warm glowing how on thermal camera. Should I replace it or leave it.
2 legs on the side that give stability and strength have broken off. Half of the legs are still soldered to the pcb. I found this one but it has only 4 connectors at the back . Will this one suffice

After taking diode off, hard drive started to spin but there was no activity from reading heads. Also once I connected top half with the speaker today computer chimed and straight to a floppy disk with ?. Can't find OS to boot from. Did not expect 20Mb drive to be working
Diode removed and hard drive started to spin but by listening to the drive, reading heads do not seem to be moving. Not sure if it will chime as I did not attached top half
thank you ... I will get about 5 of them and see how I go. So far nothing else is getting hot apart form inductor and this diode. I have busted power supply to make sure capacitors are ok. They seem to be, but I will replace them too
