Ok it’s weird,
I’ve took the Macintosh apart and left it at the floor because I need the table. Now I’ve took it again back to the table and now the screen is perfect!!
It’s possible the ground wire as Jhonnya101 said.
Ok,
I left the Macintosh on for a hour but the trembling remains. So I’m not sure it could be a Capacitors issue. The screen is trembling with the maximum brightness or with normal brightness. I doesn`t goes worst using the floppy disk.
Someone can help?
Hi there!
I’ve turned on my 128k and noticed that the screen is trebling. I get dizzy looking at the screen. I think it could happens by the fly back capacitor but not sure. None capacitor has been replaced.
Any idea?
Good evening!!
Finally I’ve received the SCSI Terminator and I’ve found some time to test it out!!
With the Terminator the unit can read data cd-rom so the Terminator is a mandatory for reading data cd-roms.
Thanks to all!!
Well, I’ll wait until receive the SCSI terminator for further tests. Right now I’ve tried with several music cds, always originals cds, and all have been recognized fine. I’ve tried with a 2014 music cd and it worked too.
I can not make it recognize any data cd. I’m always talking about...
Not Sure... I’m using originals cds son no matter the write speed. Not sure if it’s a so versión problem... it happens with music cds also. The highest so that my se supports is 7.5.3.. the system says that can not mount the disk.. maybe it’s the file format used?
My oldest music cds are...
Hi!,
Finally I got it working. I had to change severals capacitors from the PSU and install OS 7.5. I can not make it work with 7.1 and the cdrom installation floppy. I haven't the SCSI terminator yet but it works. But It doesn't recognize any data cd, only old music cds. I'm not quite sure...
So you say it has nothing to do with OS nor SCSI Terminator?
I've saw that post early but my unit is not exactly that model. It's an old one. Anyway tomorrow I'll check the capacitors.
Thanks!
Hi everyone!
I'm fighting with a AppleCD 150. I've dismounted the unit, clean and lubricate the mechanism and now it loads and ejects the cd tray smoothly but... (there's always a but) I can not make it work.
I've connected it to a Macintosh LCII and its recognized by the SCSIProbe as element...
Thanks for reply,
Finally I took another floppy drive from a LCII and it worked so I guess something is wrong with that drive. But when I put the bad drive on the LCII it worked... I’ve swaped one for another and fine!!
Regards!
Hello again,
I’m restoring a Macintosh SE using parts. Once the Macintosh boots up and everything is ok is time to install a SO but the floppy doesn’t want to read any floppy. I’ve cleaned the unit and seems to work fine, floppies get in and out smoothly but no OS is loaded. I’m using 1,44...
