BlueSCSI v2 - role of power connector?

Thanks - re the disk, I wonder if it's the power, I'll try to power the BlueSCSI to see if this works as the BlueSCSI is not the termination device, the disk is.

BlueSCSI v2 - role of power connector?

Just got a BlueSCSI v2 as the internal board. Works fantastic*. What is the goal of the PC-floppy power connector on the board as it does not seem to need it in my SE/30. (* except for one w/ SCSI HD I have that works without the Blue -- would that be a power issue?)

    RaSCSI-Boot-6.0.8.hda_.zip

Soldering: no… my skill level at soldering is about “I can solder two cables together.” I am not sure I would even try to go further :). Id like to boost my SE/30 to 64MB or more (I have a GGLabs Rom). I have 4 sticks from another SE but I did not want to pile things up. Do you think it would...

I just tried that, no luck. SCSI Probe just sees the Mac controller.

    RaSCSI-Boot-6.0.8.hda_.zip

Here is my setup: Mac SE/30. 4MB RAM. 40MB Conner SCSI drive (kinda working, at least detected and can do some stuff). Raspberry PI 200GB-ish SD card. RaSCSI 68kmla Version 2.4a. Installed with image from RaSCSI (downloaded last week). You can see a few photos & screenshots. I changed the...

    RaSCSI-Boot-6.0.8.hda_.zip

Whatever image I mount via RaSCSI, none of my Macs see it. I was under the impression - wrong it seems :) - that this was a disk which I could image to a floppy and boot upon. Like a RaSCSI extension? i downloaded a few SCSI tools, they see my SCSI disk (the one of my Mac) but nothing on the Pi...

    RaSCSI-Boot-6.0.8.hda_.zip

I am trying to make my SE/30 (or my Plus) recognize a RaSCSI. I set up the Pi with the RaSCSI image. Everything seems to be good on that end. I try to use RaSCSI-Boot-6.0.8.hda_.zip from https://www.macintoshrepository.org/39943-rascsi-reloaded as a boot disk, but when I unzip the image, it's...

    Eternal Floppy

Thanks @Berenod. This is super helpful info. I have an older MacBook Pro that I can install Leopard on. Any recommendation on the USB Floppy or any $20 thing from Amazon will do? Why do you mention an old Windows laptop? I have a recent Windows PC (ok, not bragging about it), could it use...

    Eternal Floppy

I have 1.44Mb floppies formatted on my SE/30. Can I read them on a 2019 Mac with a USB floppy? And then exchange stuff between the two? ! Thanks

Mac SE/30 will not see RaSCSI

Making progress. The termination was on. If I turn it off, nothing boots on the SE/30, so that's good :). I guess that without software on the Mac then they would not see it, correct?

Mac SE/30 will not see RaSCSI

I am questioning the termination and the cable at this point. I was looking (probably very lamely) for a diagram about whether it is terminated or not (in did not change anything on the board). the cable I use is one from on old Iomega Zip drive I stole from my wife (she’s not using it :) ). a...

    MACSIMM on MAC SE/30

I found it! Booting by pressing the r key! R like rom I guess ;)

Mac SE/30 will not see RaSCSI

Assembled my Pi4 with RaSCSI. I can connect to the web interface, and I created two volumes via the web interface. All seems fine on this end. I tried the Pi connected to a Plus booting 6.0.8. Nothing. Someone advised me to get https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/rascsi-reloaded but I don't have a...

    MACSIMM on MAC SE/30

Just installed my 2MB MACSIMM in my SE/30. I was expecting a system to boot. Did I miss something? Is there a key to press at boot time? -jg
