Well I think I've reached the end of what I'm willing to do. I programmed a new ADB chip using this HEX:

But no luck unfortunatly. These board are beyond my desire for fixing.
Back to the drawing board. Looks like the discrepancies in the two transistors were thanks to me testing it while still on the board in both instances.
I swapped out the transistor anyway just in case but unfortunately it didn't fix the dead ADB ports.
I checked out the transistor and was getting what I think are some bad readigns from it after compairing it to a good SE logic board.
Red probe to Base and Black probe to Emitter
.6v - matches a known good board
Red probe to Base and Black probe to Collector
.57v - matches a known good board...
Does anyone have any experience with dead ADB ports on an SE? I stupidly plugged an S-Video cable that bridges pins 1 and 2 together and 3 and 4 together which I'm pretty sure killed the ADB ports on 2 SEs that I have.
I tested one of boards and it looks like the Tokin filter is still good...
Here's my list of all the electrolydic caps I found on my 3 boards from the 0276 model.
Neck Board
100uf 10v x5
22uf 16v x2
1uf 100v x1
47uf 10v x1

Analog Board

Just realized there are 4 different model number for the monochrome Pivot Display. I have the second revision (model 0276) while yours is the first.
The boards looks mostly identical except for the neck board which has mlre stuff populating the PCB. I'll probably need to do my own cap check...
I'm working on opening it, but the inside is pretty intricate. It's slow going as I try to figure out and document were everything goes. Did you have any resources that helped you take it apart?
Did you ever end up doing a recap? I have the monochrome display that is in great condition, but likely needs a recap to fix the same kind of smearing issue you had.
Just wondering if you had any tips or if you know of a list of all the necessary caps to replace.
I probably need about 60-90 seconds of video playback. I know of MacFlim which is a great program, but unfortunately it's only compatible with 1bit black and white displays. It doesn't know how to handle color or grayscale.
I'll probably end up just running some tests on my IIci later this...
Mostly I'm just trying to avoid spending more of the production budget by trying to use what I already have. But I'm also unfamiliar with going PC to these old Apple displays. I only know about going from the vintage Macs to a modern display.
I have an upcoming film where video playback on a color CRT is needed, but currently we only have Apple displays like the RGB High Resolution to use as the monitor.
In hopes of avoiding the need to go out and buy another CRT with composite or RF inputs, I was wondering what kind of video...
I'm not to sure. I know that Flybacks are hard to source and expensive, but otherwise I'm not directly familiar with the classic analog board.
I would take a look at the Dead Mac Scrolls book and see what it says about your symptoms.
