1024x768 is 8-bit (256 colors) only but should be supported. Did you try to set it 256 colors in 8.6?

HD20 is 500Kbps (62.5 KB/s), SCSI-1 in the SE/30 can theoretically max out at 40Mbps (40,000Kbps) or (5 MB/s). So, SCSI-1 is about 8x faster than HD20.

Hmm... I know its not a sync issue, the Dell monitor I use for all my retro stuff supports SOG. Using the Syncinator works if set to 8**x6** (some weird res I can't remember at the moment), but it would be nice to have 1024x768. Could a cable/PCB be made to specifically work with the SX? Edit...

Well, I found an SX off ebay but can't seem to figure out how to output 1024x768 using a bmow sync-inator. Also, seems a bit weird that I can only set virtual screens (pan and scan), not a set resolution with the e-machine control panel.

No not yet. Will try in a bit! Nope, nothing in the rom disk to do that. AFAIA, you need to append a sound file to a binary blob and insert the hex into the rom manually, but the rom layout is different in BMOW's rom sooooo yeah may have to contact him.

Strange, my very old rominator has all that plus a Utilities folder with formatting tools. It's pretty trivial to edit the image if you have the rom reader/writer though with the tool provided.

Tried jlcpcb's build service but cannot figure out the bom or pick and place files. Used IIci_ATX_jlcpcb for the bom and IIci_ATX-all-pos-jlcpcb for the p&p but its saying its missing things? Don't know, never done this before so I'm probably doing it wrong.

Anyone knowledgeable enough to make a fan shroud for a MDD FW800 with a thin alluminum heatsink? Perferably one with that will work with 2 60mm fans attached behind the heatsink to help exhast the heat?
