Calling Color Classic owners: logic board floppy connector?

I don't have a color classic, but I've just look at the official service manual ( http://tim.id.au/laptops/apple/legacy/color_classic.pdf) it sounds highly possible that the floppy ribbon is not replaceable (easily)

LC III no chime, no video, HDD and fan spins

One potential issue is the NVRAM battery, my 475 have some difficulty to boot because the battery is empty (in fact I even removed it as it was empty and wasn't able to find a good one..) In my case the LC need a "reset" after being powered up because of the missing battery, the cap will...

    12" RGB Display issues

Honestly if you are ready to change one cap, do it for all electrolytics, they all will fail as they are old, so instead of having to open and do the replacement in multiples operation, do it in one, thing would be better.

    12" RGB Display issues

Considering the age of the screen, changing the electrolytic cap should help too.

Best 68k Powerbook for heavy use (development)

Really all the 68K line suffer the shitty ABS plastic that crack with time? :( @techknight: Yeah I plan to test the SCSI2SD, at least on the PowerBook 145 I already have (but in really bad plastic conditions) I may use it later on some of my desktop mac too, because the 50pin SCSI in good...

Looking for the CDROM of "Tricks of the Mac Game Programming Gurus" book

I already have the Inside Macintosh I to VI, and some specific one like the QuickDraw one, they proved to be useful, but they are just factual information, there is no "trick" or anything used especially for graphic & game programming. It's like a book with a ton of good recipe, and one...

Best 68k Powerbook for heavy use (development)

As my only 68k powerbooks are not the easiest to use (my two Macintosh Portable are a bit big and slow, and my PB145 is too broken for now) I'm looking for a 68K powerbook with good capabilities, potentially a 680(LC)40 one or a 68030 with a color screen (active would be the best).  I'm looking...

    Powerbook 145 & brittle ABS

Hello there, When I got my 145 as usual the first thing I do with a new second-hand computer was to open to check it's internal state. Bad move on that computer as the ABS become brittle and nearly all the screw stand are now broken, and I can't close correctly the whole thing. Google didn't...
