I was wondering if a full version of "Columbo's Mystery Capers" exists for download somewhere? I know that there is a demo version on unna but, I don't see the full version on that site, or anywhere else. I ask because I came across this eBay listing that seems to have the full version available...
I just realized something, selecting the higher baud speeds in Einstein, when connecting to NCU in Basilisk II, may not make any difference at all   🤯 😬 I've been preoccupied with prepping for a move and didn't even think about that 🤣 I have no way to actually confirm if the...
Ah dang, I guess I can't use this then. I'm using Basilisk II with a Serial port mod, and the NewtonDev setup, to connect to Einstein. Is there a way to patch an Old World rom, mainly the "1995-04 - 064DC91D - LC, Performa 580 & Performa 588.ROM" file instead? Thanks :)
So, I recently came across a patch for Newton Connection Utilities to allow a 57600 baud connection to the Newton/Einstein emulator. I've been trying to make similar edits for 115200 & 230400 baud speeds. I keep getting errors though.
I was able to track down the original author to their old...
Ah, yeah. Thanks (y) I've been using that rom. The main thing is I've been trying to run the Newton demo thing for the 2100 and it keeps erroring out. Thought maybe it had something to do with the rom. That's why I was wondering if someone could dump the rom from their own 2100. Just to see if...
So, I hope this type of request is allowed here. Apologies in advance if it's not. I'm wondering if anyone has dumped/can dump the rom from their Newton 2100? I wanted to try and test some things out with Einstein that appear to be bugging out with the Newton 2000 rom file.
Thanks so much! :)
So, I finally figured out the elusive easter egg that was exclusive to the Mac version of Freddy Pharkas.
By using the “Talk” icon in the same spot on the Mine that generates the “Mac programmers deep within the Old Abandoned Mine toil at their shunned lore.” message (by using the "Look"...
Sorry, should probably clear this up. The demo that was being referred to was the DOS floppy demo. In the DOS floppy demo, the swamp was used as a plot point. This area wasn't important in the final DOS version. There wasn't a Mac demo.
