I have an LC 575 in parts here. Also a 7300/180. Are these drives all the same? I could swap that out easily enough.

Any repair possible or just look for another drive on ebay?

During a recent install the floppy drive eject stopped working. The drive still works accepting and reading disks and I can eject by using the manual pin hole release. 1. Is this common? I heard it is. 2. With a rudimentary comfortability with performing surgery on such machines are their any...

It looks like beyond the dirt it has some bad dental work. Maybe someone has already had a go but been a bit brutal. Pretty sure it's never going to dance again. I might advertise for another board and see what I can find. :) Thanks heaps!

I have a second board which has no such leaks however not start up of any sort whatsoever from that board. No sound, no picture, no nothing.

Could this be our enemy here?

Built in LC575 monitor. The battery may be flat but there's no evidence of it exploding. Is the battery required for powered startup or simply to retain info when powered down?

We hit the button, we get the start up sound. Then it immediately plays a little tune. That's it, nothing on the screen. No cigar. Any clues on how to breath life back into the walk down amnesia lane? Thanks heaps.
