    I tried it out booting OS 9 from a firewire drive. It definitely works. Why they have an Internal Firewire port who knows?

    I would like to replace them but I cant see what the rating is on them. I know three of them are 470uf 16volt.The other two I cant see what they are.

    Also what about the other caps(axial) Some of them have markings on them.Identifying what they are. The 2 axial caps in the upper LT of the pic don't have any markings on them.

    PowerMac G5 power supply recap

    I was wondering if anyone tried recapping the bad power supply in a PowerMac G5. If that is the problem with them. Is bad caps the cause of so many PowerMac G5 logic board Issues.
